Social Activism

I am a strong believer that we as a society talk about change far more than we work on actively creating change. I created "Speaking Out, Singing Louder" in response to this. "Speaking Out, Singing Louder," was a stand alone show that performed at 54 Below, but my long-term goal is to grow it into a nonprofit.

I have already donated proceeds from the show to the charity "Democracy Forward"– a national legal organization that advances democracy and social progress through litigation, policy and public education, and regulatory engagement. I believe that it is important to use our arts and talents to raise awareness and create change.

"Speaking Out, Singing Louder" will be an organization that supports minorities across America, giving people a sense of hope in a time surrounded by an incredible amount of defeat.

Let's stop talking about change and start making it.
